Level Tw0 1-1 Mentoring
Mentoring offers young people the opportunity to have 1-1 time with a youth worker in which they can share worries, concerns, or look at any issues they are currently facing. It is very much focused on the young person and can be a fun, exciting journey, enjoying activities such as cooking, playing pool, art work, games, walking, sports, or simply just having a chat. Young people can self-refer or be referred by a parent/teacher/other agency. Mentoring sessions are usually once a week, for 8-12 weeks. For more information please contact us at FYDG@leveltwo.org
Please find our Level Two Mentoring Referral form below:
Open Access Sessions (School Years 6 and above) – see our current programme for days/times
The youth hub provides a ‘safe place’ for young people, where they can enjoy various activities with young people their own age/year group. Young people can come for 10 minutes or stay for the whole session, or come and go as they please and they don’t have to ‘join’ or attend every week. Young people can enjoy socialising, participating in creative activities, sport, using computers, and engaging in conversations with youth workers. In all sessions we address various topics where young people can explore and increase their knowledge on a variety of issues. Some of the topics include : Alcohol; smoking; addiction; physical exercise and sport; community involvement; volunteering; sexual health; diversity & equality. Please see the link below for our term time programme:
Detached and Outreach Youth Work
Level Two have developed their Detached and Outreach Youth Work, going out around the town, villages and seafront to take our services to the young people. We often take our minibus out onto the streets to engage with young people and families. The minibus is equipped with free wifi, resources, tables and chairs, gazebo, lights and sound system. If you do see us out and about come over and say hello.
Whilst out and about we use this opportunity to let the young people know about what is going on at the youth hub and various activities coming up, as well as supporting them with issues they wish to discuss.
Holiday activities and trips out
Level Two provides trips, activities and open sessions during the school holidays and the occasional weekend. Coming again soon our Urban Music Session which was a real hit. Recently we had a day trip to London, the Escape Room in Ipswich, visited Southend Adventure Island, London’s Madame Tussauds, Duxford Air Museum, Colchester Zoo, Paintballing, Roller world, Jump Street, Corby Skate Park, and many more. We also offer some local activities and sessions at the hub. Please note: There is a cost for most holiday activities and spaces are limited so early booking is advised. Activities Unlimited funding can be used on our trips.
